To teach that is it sometimes a long road to success.

Acts 27-28

These chapters tell of Paul's courage and leadership under strain and hardship. The trip didn't go as imagined, with a number of hiccups along the way like: strong winds, rough seas, whirlpools and quicksands (27;17), little guidance from the stars or sun (27:20), throwing cargo overboard (27:18), shipwrecked (27:41), and being attacked by a poisonous snake (28:5). Paul had this uncanny way of not only seeing the good in everything but also being able to endure many things that he did not foresee, trusting in God and His ultimate plan. For each of us life is unpredictable and hard also. Too easily when trouble or hardship comes we give up. Paul shows us there is another way.
