Journey Through Time

“Journey through time” desires to help children understand the purpose of God throughout history. It gives an overview of the Bible in a way that aims to give children an overview of History and God's main message throughout History. From the very beginning God has eagerly desired to be in relationship with His creation. The Bible shows the many ways He has tried to do this until His only choice was to send His son to die for us. This message calls for a commitment to Christ and teaches the children clearly of God's incredible love for them.

Aim: To bring children to an overall understanding of God’s plan from the beginning for His creation To teach them that God eagerly desires to have a relationship with them. To challenge them that they have the choice to accept or reject God as their personal savior and there are consequences for every decision.

Bible Text: Key Verses are: Genesis 1:31, Romans 3:23 and 2 Corinthians 5:17

The Professor and his sidekick go into the time machine and come out in darkness.....as they walk across the stage creation begins. God speaks and it comes into being. They walk through the creation as it is being formed - through visual/ lighting and spoken word see what can be created on the stage before the children. They watch in the bushes, animals appear on a screen coming to them. They are amazed and when they come back to the lab they strangely have a piece of a puzzle with them.

The time machine lands them at the time when Noah is building the ark and the world is about to flood. They see that whole event about to unfold and get back in their time machine for home just in time so they do not get sucked up into the Tragedy. Phillip is still in the LAB thinking that they are both crazy.

In the lab ...the professor and Annie are trying to work out how to get back to the right time in order to change the sequence of events so the world is not destroyed. Phillip overhears the professor talking about how things get worse and there are big Gold statues being built. It is becoming a place where people are starting to think they can make their own Gods. He decides to help, thinking he can go back in time and find some amazing treasure and become rich.

All three characters go into the time machine. This time they arrive in Jerusalem. Before they know it they are eyewitnesses to the birth of Jesus in a stable. Phillip is disappointed as he was looking for some priceless golden calf that would make him rich. They go back to their lab to find that each time they return they somehow end up with pieces of a puzzle that is slowly coming together.

It seems that Phillip knows more about the event they witnessed than he has been letting on. As he corrects the other two, he quickly explains how he thought it was a movie set and not real. The Professor and Annie are starting to see a big story unfold that captivates them and Phillip is still working out how he can become famous.

The team travel through time for the last time and find themselves at the cross. While two of them find it very moving, Phillip finds what he thinks is a diamond and makes a run for it. He ends up being caught, and never really gets the true meaning of the larger story. But Annie and Professor will never be the same after all they have discovered.
