Show More Stephen was a man who had wisdom and the ability to inspire and challenge people to think about truth (Acts 6: 8-15). The teachers of the law were very threatened by him and began rumours that led to his arrest. They produced false witnesses and lied about the things he said. When falsely accused, he reacted with honour and gentleness. He had every right to get angry, aggressive and impatient, but he didn't. Stephen, like Jesus, listened and answered questions with honesty and depth. He is a great example of handling adversity and persecution with style and forgiveness. He is certainly someone from whom we can all learn how to handle conflict, in total contrast to the heroes of today.

You Will Need: SMALL GROUP: A set of instructions for each small group and materials:glue, pegs, paddle pop sticks / toothpicks
TEACHING: Judges costume and gabble, 3 False witnesses (leader), Memory verse in Treasure box , Prizes for winners in small group work and teaching, twitface.
Paper and Pens and Bluetac, Words LISTEN and HELPS and TRUE FRIEND in big writing to stick onto a wall from last week and more paper to add new words, “Don’t let life box you in” prizes (Optional).
