Bible Text: Joshua 10:1-27

Background Notes: Joshua had earned a reputation as a great warrior for God. The Kings in power in the area were starting to panic. Five Kings joined together to try to defeat Joshua. It is obvious that it was God who needed to be feared, and that Joshua was His tool for a time. Joshua was very obedient and trusting of God. His experience had showed him that God protects you when you follow his call. And that he goes before you. The fact that hailstorms killed most of the 5 armies that came to fight and that God made the sun stand still is a confirmation that God is in control and we are privileged to belong to Him and to be used by Him.
